Abstract

Bharathi Yogaraj , Product lead at MathWorks , leads the Vision and Deep Learning HDL group. Her team focuses on Vision IP development and deployment of Deep learning-based vision applications onto FPGAs and SoCs.
Bharathi has a Bachelor's in Electronics and Communication from JNNCE(VTU). Her research interests include optimized HDL design, deep learning deployment, image processing, and heterogeneous system integration. Prior to joining MathWorks, Bharathi worked at Uurmi Systems and Vrinda technologies, primarily focused on design and development of high-speed systems and HDL IPs for communication and vision applications.

Dr. Lingras completed his Bachelor of Technology in Civil Engineering from IIT Bombay and pursued his graduate studies, including a Ph.D. in Computer Science, at the University of Regina, Saskatchewan, Canada. His academic career has been marked by significant achievements in research and teaching excellence. As a prolific researcher, he has authored over 210 research papers in international journals and conferences, co-authored three textbooks, and co-edited multiple volumes of research papers. His research has been consistently supported by the Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council (NSERC) Discovery Grant for 30 years, along with various other funding programs. His international impact is evidenced by his roles as a visiting professor at Munich University of Applied Sciences and IIT Gandhinagar, and as a research supervisor at Institut Supérieur de Gestion de Tunis. He has delivered more than 45 invited talks at institutions worldwide, fostering international collaborations across the USA, UK, Hong Kong, China, and Tunisia. Dr. Lingras's dedication to teaching has been recognized through multiple awards, including the President's Award for Excellence in Research, the Father William A.
